About
the Logo

The logo design creatively reflects the talent and values inherent in Filipino culture, as well as the multifaceted roles of the Philippines as the home of the 1st International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO).

Representing the diverse archipelago of the Philippines, the electron-like figures embedded within the logo signify the country’s three major island groups.

The flower-like shape of the logo is heavily inspired by the sampaguita, the country’s national flower. The logo not only pays homage to our rich culture and flora but also serves as a beacon of hope.

It also visually represents three human bodies reaching for a common goal: to popularize nuclear science and technology concepts, to inspire students to pursue related professions, and to facilitate cordial relations among participants.

At the center of the logo lies the pearl, as an ode to the country’s moniker as the "Pearl of the Orient Seas."

Altogether, the INSO logo becomes a powerful emblem, encapsulating the pursuit of knowledge, spirit of collaboration, and cultural richness that truly defines the Olympiad.
