She is the former head of the PNRI Nuclear Reactor Operations Section. Her current research activities focus on computational and experimental characterization of neutron fields and nuclear reactor core configurations. She is the project leader and lead core designer of the Philippine Research Reactor 1 (PRR-1) Subcritical Assembly for Training, Education, and Research (SATER), which is currently the only operational nuclear facility in the Philippines. She is also the lead developer of a novel neutron spectrometry system that is used to characterize neutron fields in medical accelerators. She is a member of the Nuclear Energy Program Inter-Agency Committee (NEP-IAC) Sub-Committees, which is developing and implementing the national roadmap for the Philippine Nuclear Energy Program.
