Dr. Jowi Tsidkenu Cruz is a Lifestyle Medicine Specialist and a diplomate of the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine after finishing his bachelor’s degree in Physics from De La Salle University (DLSU). He also holds a Masters in Hospital Administration and is a Doctor of Philosophy Candidate in International Healthcare Systems. Currently, Dr. Cruz is a full time faculty of the Physics Department of DLSU where he teaches nuclear medicine, medical imaging, and radiation physics and biology. He is also a borrowed faculty of the Biology department where he teaches physiology and immunology. He is presently the Medical Director Gold Medicheck Inc Medical and Diagnostic Center and a consultant at the Presidential Security Command Station Hospital. He is also the Physician of First Metro Investment Corporation, SM Group, and Lifeline 16-911 for Manila Polo Club. As a lifestyle medicine specialist, Dr. Cruz has been an active advocate of “true medicine”—that which does not cover only the alleviation of symptoms, but also treating illnesses by reversing the pathophysiology of the disease. He employs an evidence-based practice to halt progression, treat symptoms, and reverse chronic lifestyle related diseases through lifestyle modifications hinged on the management guidelines established by medical board and specialty societies here and abroad.
