P. A. Aloy Perera is currently serving as a Senior Professor in Physics, attached to the Department of Physics and Electronics, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. He has received his B.Sc. Degree from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and completed postgraduate studies leading to Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics at the University of Rochester, U.S.A. Dr. Perera’s primary research area is in the field of heavy-ion nuclear reactions, and he has involved in research at the Argonne National Laboratory, U. S. A and RIKEN, Japan. He has more than 35 years of experience in teaching physics to university students.
