Julius Federico M. Jecong is a distinguished researcher in the field of Nuclear and Quantum Engineering. He holds a Master of Science degree from the prestigious Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Currently, he holds a Senior Science Research Specialist position at the Applied Physics Research Section of the Atomic Research Division in the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI). His exceptional work has earned him the rank of 6 in the AD Scientific Index 2024 within PNRI, with an impressive H Index of 11 and i10 Index of 10. His academic prowess was recognized during the 10th Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety - Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KINS-KAIST) Nuclear and Radiation Safety Master’s Program, where he achieved the Best Coursework Performance with a G.P.A. of 96.11%. He has authored 32 articles published in Scopus indexed journals and has been a peer reviewer for several of these journals. His work primarily revolves around nuclear and radiation safety, and he has been actively engaged in numerous related activities. He is also recognized as the pioneer of neutron imaging research in the Philippines, further solidifying his position as a leading figure in his field.
